Here You will find the 2 most popular rebate programs. These programs are -

Clean BC Energy Savings + Fortis INcome Qualified / Fortis Dual Fuel

If switching to a mini split or centrally ducted system, Clean BC rebates are the preferred choice.

however, If your home requires dual fuel then the fortis bc rebates would be the way to go.

The deciding factor will be your homes heat loss calculation.

If your homes heat loss is greater than 70,000BTU we would most likely pair you with a dual Fuel.

Dual Fuel means a high efficiency heat pump with a high efficiency natural gas furnace.

The system will change over from heat pump to gas at 2C ambient.

Fortis BC Standard Rebates + Dual Fuel Program

Fortis BC Income Qualified Program

This program is recommended for anyone looking to switch off GAS, OIL, or Propane, to a Mini split or Central Ducted Heat Pump.

Fortis has an income qualified program that will supercharge the standard Fortis rebates + it will add $5K towards a dual fuel rebate.

Fortis BC Standard Rebates + Dual Fuel Program

Fortis offers "minimum" rebates ranging from $1200 to $2000, that anyone can qualify for when upgrading to a heat pump. They also have a dual fuel rebate that will give you $10'000 towards a new dual fuel system. There is no income criteria for this program, however, if you do apply to the Fortis income qualified program you will receive an additional 5K towards a dual fuel system.
