Which rebate program is right for you?
Fortis Basic Rebates
Fortis offers "minimum" rebates for upgrading any electric or gas source of heat, to a heat pump. Single zone equipment qualifies for $1200 rebate while multi zone or central ducted equipment qualifies for rebates up to $2000. You can collect these rebates by submitting the contractors invoice on completion.

If you would like to receive even more rebates through Fortis, you can apply to their income qualified program, which would increase these amounts above to $5000 and up to $15000 for a dual fuel system, which you would regularly get $10K for, without joining their program.
Please Note;
All Fortis rebates are collected by the customer on completion of the project, this means the customer is obligated to pay for the equipment in full, before collecting any rebates.

Fortis also offers a Dual Fuel Rebate. Dual Fuel means high efficiency gas furnace combined with a high efficiency heat pump. There have been homes that we come across that have a heat loss too great for any central heat pump to handle, in this case the dual fuel program is then next best thing to all electric!
Here you can get a $10,000 rebate on completion of an install, as long as your home meets the criteria. Or if you apply to their income qualified program you can receive an additional $5000 on this system for a total rebate amount of $15,000.
